CCI researchers in The Australian's 'Top 100 Innovators 2024'

Luminesce Alliance was delighted to see Children’s Cancer Research Institute’s (CCI) Associate Professor Paul Ekert, Lead Investigator of Luminesce Alliance Translational Tumour Biology Project, and Chelsea Mayoh, Principal Bioinformatic Scientist, featured in The Australian newspaper’s Top 100 Innovators 2024′ list published in October. They made news last year when they published world-first research showing that many more children with cancer than previously realised could potentially benefit from immunotherapy that uses the patient’s own immune system to fight cancer. Read the article here

Furthering their innovative work, additional congratulations go to CCI on their achievement of a $5 million ACRF grant to establish a Childhood Cancer Early Detection, Prevention and Treatment Program.
