Associate Professor Ekert is the Deputy Director, Research Themes at Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI) and head of the Translational Tumour Biology laboratory. He heads the CCI Functional Genomics program funded by Luminesce Alliance, with a particular focus on Cas13-based technologies. Paul leads a research program studying novel findings of ZERO to improve our understanding of how changes in genes cause cancers, and how we can use this understanding to develop more effective and less toxic therapies.
