Luminesce Alliance - Research Facility

Current Research

In 2023, the NSW Government provided funding to Luminesce Alliance of $20 million to establish paediatric precision medicine Enabling Platforms Program 2023-2027.

Luminesce Alliance Enabling Platforms create a precision medicine ecosystem transcending organisational boundaries, enhancing access to scientific resources for paediatric researchers and clinicians. They expedite discoveries, accelerate translation into the health system, and improve outcomes for children with rare genetic diseases, cancers, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

About Luminesce Enabling Platforms

Functional Genomics Enabling Platform

Functional Genomics is the study of how genes and parts of the human genome contribute to different biological processes. It looks at how genes and other parts of the biological system work together to cause disease.

Data Enabling Platform

New methods and infrastructure to rapidly translate BIG DATA (massive amounts of complex data) to improve detection, treatment, and outcomes.

Precision Therapy Enabling Platform

A genome-based therapeutics pipeline to develop novel technologies and new drugs and run early phase clinical trials.

Psychosocial Enabling Platform

A world-first platform, focused on ensuring the psychological, emotional, social and educational well-being of patients, families and healthcare professionals is not left behind with the rapid advances of precision medicine.

Health Systems Implementation and Economics Enabling Platform

Development and evaluation of the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and implementation of precision medicine intervention pathways.
