Luminesce Alliance visits GOSH in the UK
News Stories

We were delighted to fund the recent visit of the Advanced Clinical Data Analytics team to the GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) Data Research, Innovation and Virtual Environments unit in the UK.
Our grateful thanks to Professor Sebire, Professor of Pathology GOSH UCL, Chief Research Information Officer (CRIO) and Director of the GOSH Clinical Informatics Research Programme, for welcoming our team. Professor Sebire and other leading paediatric precision medicine researchers were introduced to the Luminesce Alliance Community at the recent 2024 Luminesce Alliance Conference.
Senior Program Manager Grace Currie and Informatics Analyst Todd Cooper spent a week learning with the GOSH DRIVE team to discuss data processes and approaches, helping to advance the Luminesce Alliance Clinical Data Analytics project.
The project, led by Professor Tom Snelling develops methods and digital tools to improve the quality and reliability of electronic medical record data for clinical and research initiatives. Accessing these high-quality data sets, currently confined within hospital records, will significantly help us to support research that will expedite diagnoses, improve treatment recommendations and enhance clinical management of children with cancer, rare diseases and neurological disorders, as well as proving insights into environmental and clinical history affecting childhood diseases.
