Introducing Elizabeth Crouch – Board Director

Luminesce Alliance welcomes new Board Director, Elizabeth Crouch.

Elizabeth Crouch is Chair of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, the Customer Owned Banking Association and SGS Economics and Planning. She is also a non-Executive Director of ReadyTech Holdings and Bingo Industries. Ms Crouch Chairs the Non-Government Schools Not for Profit Advisory Committee and is on the Boards of the NSW Institute of Sport and Health Infrastructure. She Chairs Audit and Risk Committees for the City of Sydney, IPART and RailCorp and is also the Chair of CREST ANZ, an organisation that registers ethical cyber security testing companies.

Ms Crouch is Emeritus Deputy Chancellor of Macquarie University and has held previous NED roles on the Boards of Chandler Macleod Group, McGrath Estate Agents, RailCorp and the Macquarie University Hospital. She was previously on the Board of Western Sydney Local Health District and from 2016-2018 was a Trustee of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, retiring in December 2018. She spent 16 years with the Federal Government including with Federal Health and more than a decade in the private sector including as Chief Executive of the Housing Industry Association. Ms Crouch holds a Bachelor of Economics and is currently completing a Masters of Cyber Security.

Newborn Screening Abstract selected for presentation at the 16th International Child Neurology Congress, San Diego, USA

Congratulations to Associate Professor Michelle Farrar and the Newborn Screening Program team on the acceptance of their abstract “Real world impact of newborn screening for spinal muscular atrophy: 2 year Australian pilot” for the 16th International Child Neurology Congress, San Diego, USA. The congress is in October 2020.

Michelle Farrar is an Associate Professor in Paediatric Neurology at School of Women’s and Children’s Health, University of NSW Sydney and a specialist child neurologist at Sydney Children’s Hospital, leading the Neuromuscular Diseases and Clinical Research Programs.
